A Message From Our Chief
Ruth B. Turner
Chief of Student Support Services and Social Emotional Learning
As the Chief of Student Support Services and Social Emotional Learning, I assist with the planning, delivery, assessment and ongoing improvement of several programs. This includes, but is not limited to, the Offices of Attendance, Student Health Services, Primary Project, Restorative Practices, Families in Transition as well as the School Social Work and School Counseling departments. It is my role to assist in the development of best practices and programs that will support the social and emotional health of all students. This is achieved through working cooperatively with school principals, central office staff and collaborating with community agencies to support student, staff and parent needs. It is my hope that teachers, families, school counselors, and social workers continue working together to foster successful outcomes for students in the Rochester City School District.
