  • Excellence is Happening at Francis Parker School No. 23
Francis Parker is one of the most diverse schools in Monroe County, serving 47% African American, 39% White, and 14% Hispanic students.  The school remains a top performing elementary schools in the Rochester City School District, showing growth on NYS assessments for all student groups.  Entering our fifth year as an Expanded Learning Time School, we have created an environment that works to meet the unique needs of all of our students. Through our WIN (What I Need) blocks, four days a week all students receive small group instruction tailored to support and enrich their academic success. The longer day also affords us the ability to offer every student engaging elective opportunities such as Minecraft Math, Junior Legos, Yoga, a production of "Alice in Wonderland", and a Comicbook Club just to name a few. The School's proximity to many artistic and business venues has helped us build partnerships that support weekly field trips to the Memorial Art Gallery and The Warrior Factory.
