  • The Rochester City School District continues to follow the recommendations from the Monroe County Department of Public Health (MCDPH), New York State Department of Health, and Centers for Disease Control (CDC), along with the guidelines from the New York State Education Department. To help keep families and staff informed about COVID-19 in the RCSD, please see the information below. Please do your part to keep everyone in our community healthy and safe.

    A representative from the MCDPH will contact you if it is determined that you were exposed. Per federal privacy laws, the District cannot disclose any further details or personal identifiable information about COVID-19 cases. The MCDPH investigates all positive COVID-19 cases. A representative from Monroe County will contact you if it is determined that you are considered a close contact. Per federal privacy laws, the District cannot disclose any further details or personal identifiable information about COVID-19 cases.

    If you are experiencing any symptoms – cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, congestion or runny nose, sore throat, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, or a new loss of taste or smell – please call your healthcare provider. RCSD employees must also contact Benefits (585-262-8206, benefits@rcsdk12.org) immediately if you become ill.

School Updates

  • The District will post a weekly summary of positive COVID-19 cases in our schools and buildings below. These updates will be provided every Friday afternoon to the greatest extent possible.  This is live data including confirmed and unconfirmed cases. The data may change as cases are confirmed.
