Oral & Dental Health Services

NYS Requires Students in grades Pre-K, K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 and 11 to provide the school with a Dental Certificate. Please see the link below that list dental providers in our area.

Dental screening and treatment is offered in selected schools.  Eastman Dental provides full-service care in conjunction with the Rochester Regional Health Center at School #17.



The U of R Eastman Dental Center SMILEmobile Program, a dental office on wheels, brings oral health services year-round to children in 19 RCSD elementary schools. Through the operation of three fully equipped dental vans, dentists, hygienists and dental residents provide comprehensive oral healthcare for children and teens including x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, restorations, stainless steel crowns and simple extractions.



SMILEmobile Program

Free dental screenings for students are offered by dental hygienists and dentists through periodic visits to schools by Eastman Dental's SMILEmobiles. Further dental work, if necessary, is available at no cost other than what is covered by a family's existing insurance coverage. The following schools participate in SMILEmobile visits: Schools No. 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 12,19, 22, 28, 33, 39, 43, 45 and East High School. PRINCIPALS will notify parents when enrollment forms are available. You must complete the enrollment form in order for your child to receive this service.
