How is eligible transportation determined?
The policy of the Rochester City School District Board of Education is to provide transportation to any student in grades kindergarten through twelve (12)

who resides with his/her parent or legal guardian within the City limits of Rochester, and who lives more than 1.5 miles from the school attended.  If a child attends a private or parochial school, transportation is provided if the school is within 15 miles of the child’s residence.

Transportation for elementary students in grades K-6 is on yellow bus.  The majority of secondary students in grades 7-12 are issued passes for Regional Transit Service.
