Facilities / Green Schools: Requirements for Schools to Participate

Requirements for schools to participate in the Green Schools Program include:

Organize students across grade levels into a Green club dedicated to learning about, practicing and encouraging energy conservation
Plan, organize and implement on-going projects that will conserve electrical energy during the school day, after school, during weekends and school recesses
Record and report the data gathered from energy conservation measures
Where appropriate, use the instructional materials, activities and tools provide by the RCSD and the ASE
Attempt to get the entire school population involved in energy conservation through small changes in human behavior
Participate in professional development opportunities provided by the ASE
Agree to participate in the End of the Year Celebration
