The Rochester City School District uses the online platform PowerSchool to enroll students for school. One-time PowerSchool account creation is required to complete the online process. To begin, choose what grade your child will attend:

New and returning students who will enter grades K through 12.

Students entering or returning to the RCSD must register their child with the Office of Student Equity and Placement.  Parents / Caregivers must provide acceptable documentation to complete the registration process. After a student is registered, they are assigned a student ID number and become eligible to complete an online enrollment through PowerSchool.

The 2024-25 School Choice Process for the Rochester City School District has ended.  During the School Choice Lottery, City residents with children entering PreK, Kindergarten, 7th, and 9th grade were able to enroll online for the 2024-25 school year.

Students who do not participate in the School of Choice Lottery will be placed in a school closest to your home where space is available after the selection process is complete.
