Masonry
Students will gain an understanding in areas such as job layout, mortar composition, and wall construction using brick, block, stone and concrete. This will be accomplished through class assignments, class discussion and practical application of skills learned in the major units of study which include: shop and job safety, blueprint reading, transit operation, masonry tools and equipment, general construction procedures, brick,block, stone, concrete construction, footings, and cost estimation of time, material, and labor. This program will prepare a student for entry-level employment in the masonry and construction fields.
