  • CIT Mentoring Verification for NYS Professional Certification

Verification of Mentoring statements are uploaded to the NY State Education Department TEACH site in the summer following your CIT mentoring experience. The statement will not be visible to you until the application is “evaluated,” and even then, if there is a missing payment, missing transcript, missing workshop, or other missing requirement, the NYSED Reviewer does not look at the remaining items, so the “Mentored Experience” status still may appear “Unmet” at the site.

  • RCSD Office of Human Capital (formerly HCI/Human Resources)

When applying for professional or permanent certification, you will need to request that the Office of Human Capital upload a Superintendent’s Statement verifying your paid Classroom Teaching Experience to the NY State TEACH site.  You can do so by emailing HCI_EMPLOYEE_VERIFICATION@rcsdk12.org

For updates to your certification status, email HumanCapital@rcsdk12.org and attach the relevant documents. If you have completed your first Master’s Degree, you should also make a copy and hand deliver it to the Office of Human Capital at Central Office.

For support with certification requirements and certification pathways, contact Director of Staff & Educator Effectiveness Kara.Reidy-Vedder@rcsdk12.org.
