When will the 2024-2025 arrival and dismissal times be shared?
School arrival and dismissal times should be posted on the website by the end of January 2024.
Special Lottery

How do families apply for the Special Lottery?
Families will need a PowerSchool Parent Portal account in order to submit an application.

What happens if families miss the Special Lottery deadline?
Students who do not participate in the special lottery will be placed in a school that meets their programming needs in their zone. This will occur where space is available after the selection process is complete.

Can families choose a Citywide school as one of their selections in the Special Lottery?
Yes, families can choose one Citywide school and up to four schools in their zone. Be advised some of our Citywide schools are currently at capacity and cannot accept new students.
School & Classroom Technology

What types of technology will be available in classrooms?
All K-6 and 7-8 classrooms will have SmartBoards, and all high school classrooms will have large-screen TVs. Presently, all classrooms have access to document cameras and ScreenBeam devices for wireless casting.

What types of technology will be available to students?
All students will continue to have access to Chromebooks.

What types of software will be available to students?
Students will continue to have access to many of the high-quality learning tools that they have been using for the last few years, including Google Classroom, SeeSaw, and i-Ready.

Where can families go with additional technology questions?
Families are encouraged to contact their child’s school.

What types of technology and resources are available to staff?
Staff continues to have access to our recently modernized front-of-classroom technology, including SmartBoards in K-8 classrooms and TVs. Instructional Technology Teachers on Assignment will be available to all staff who are changing grade levels or schools.

How will staff get access to PowerSchool and rosters for the new schools?
This work will continue into the late summer. If staff members do not have access to rosters by the end of the summer, they should enter a Help Desk ticket in ROConnect under Online Software Access/Issue.

Should staff take computer-related equipment and peripherals with them to new schools, such as Chromebook carts and TVs?
Staff must leave all computer-related equipment and peripheral equipment in the rooms or in the locations where they were last used. The only exceptions are laptops or other devices assigned by the Help Desk.
TVs, Chromebook carts, document cameras, and desktop computers should be left in accordance with the end-of-year technology letter.

Staff members should contact the Help Desk at 262-8151 or create a ticket through ROConnect/Help Desk.
