The State Monitor appointed to the Rochester City School District is seeking input from the public on specific academic and fiscal reports pertaining to the RCSD. The public hearing will take place on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at 5:30 p.m.

In 2020, a new law came into effect that directed the Commissioner of Education to appoint a Monitor to provide oversight, guidance, and technical assistance related to the academic and fiscal policies, practices, programs, and decisions of the Rochester City School District, the Board of Education, and the Superintendent. 

Hearings were conducted in 2020 and 2021 that focused on governance and intervention, academic performance status, fiscal performance status, as well as other specific academic and fiscal issues.

If you would like to sign up to speak or offer written feedback for the public hearing, you must do so by 12:00 p.m. noon the day of the hearing. Any interested persons may sign up to speak or submit written feedback in one of two ways:

• Calling the Rochester Board of Education at 585-262-8525 (please indicate whether you plan to attend in person or virtually)
