RCSD Dynamic Leaders: Stephanie Harris, Principal, Franklin Lower School

(November 28, 2022) The Rochester City School District is fortunate to have dynamic leadership in all of its school buildings, and we are shining a bright spot on team members supporting students during the 2022 – 23 school year.

Ms. Stephanie Harris is the Principal of Franklin Lower School.  She oversees students in grades 7 and 8 in a school that provides New York State Alternate Assessment programming, acceleration Regents courses for 8th-grade students, and a unique Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) research-based housing system that is named after 4 HBCUs.

“Every year I am excited to meet new students and families,” said Harris.  “Each school year is another opportunity for growth and adjustment, and as Principal, I get to have a larger impact on student and staff growth.  We have amazing students, families, and staff.”

An employee in the RCSD for 19 years, Ms. Harris has served as a Math Teacher, Instructional Coach, Assistant Principal, Network Accountability Team Member, Director of Mathematics, and Principal.

Please join us in applauding Ms. Harris for her fantastic work to help RCSD scholars succeed!
