RCSD Dynamic Leaders: Lisa Whitlow – Principal, Abelard Reynolds School No. 42

(November 1, 2022) The Rochester City School District is fortunate to have dynamic leadership in all of its school buildings, and we are shining a bright spot on team members supporting students during the 2022 – 23 school year.

Ms. Lisa Whitlow is the Principal of Abelard Reynolds School No. 42.  She oversees students in a Pre-K – 8 building that has a strong Arts Department with a full-time Instructional Band Teacher who averages 85 band students each year.  School No. 42 also has an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) with parents elected to all positions.

“School No. 42 staff care about their students,” said Whitlow.  “Many staff members participate on different instructional committees, and I have learned from some amazing administrators and teachers throughout my career.  I am motivated by serving my school community – the students, families, teachers, staff, and community partners.”

A committed employee of 30 years, Ms. Whitlow has served as a Speech Pathologist at John Williams School No. 5, Dag Hammarskjold School No. 6, Enrico Fermi School No. 17, and at a Pre-K Special Education program for 3-and 5-year-olds.  She was an Assistant Principal at George Mather Forbes School No. 4, Enrico Fermi School No. 17, and Theodore Roosevelt School No. 43, and a Principal at Kodak Park School No. 41.

Please join us in applauding Ms. Whitlow for her fantastic work to help RCSD scholars succeed!
