RCSD Announces Leadership Appointment
(July 23, 2021) The Rochester City School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Kwame Donko-Hanson as Principal of World of Inquiry School No. 58. He officially begins his duties as Principal on August 16, 2021.
Mr. Donko-Hanson returns home to the RCSD and World of Inquiry as Principal, having served our community for 24 years. He briefly left the District to pursue growth and opportunity and served as Associate Principal at Young Women’s College Prep Charter School. He understands well the needs of World of Inquiry, their Griffin values, and the uniqueness of the school community. He is looking forward to listening to the school community and working collaboratively with all stakeholders in the pursuit of excellence. As a humble, collaborative leader, he is recognized as one who builds and excels at establishing rapport with students, families, staff, and the community. Mr. Donko-Hanson began his career in the RCSD as an English teacher at Monroe High School before moving to School of the Arts (SOTA) where he worked with students across grades 7 – 11. He was promoted to assistant principal at SOTA and was assistant principal at World of Inquiry from 2015 – 2020. Mr. Donko-Hanson earned a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies: African and African American literature and cultural studies from the University of Rochester and a master’s degree in educational leadership from St. John Fisher College.
