The Rochester City School District would like to congratulate Diane Jordan, a special education teacher at Adlai E. Stevenson School No. 29, for being the recipient of a Golden Apple Award from WROC-TV News 8.
Ms. Jordan was recognized for her work teaching students in a fully remote learning environment and for going out of her way to make sure students have what they need to succeed. She has been teaching in the District for 33 years and has been a teacher for 37 years.
Colleagues say her leadership and classroom team have created a environment that is engaging, caring and rigorous. She also teaches her students sign language as another form of communication that they can use and embeds it throughout their learning.
