Superintendent Terry J. Dade Names Robert Franklin Chief Financial Officer

(November 20, 2019) The Rochester City School District is pleased to announce that the Board of Education last evening approved the appointment of Robert Franklin as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 2, 2020. 

Robert Franklin’s career includes roughly twenty years in leadership and senior management roles with the County of Monroe. In addition, Mr. Franklin has held the position of Deputy Commissioner of Human Services for Monroe County from 2008 to 2013.  He has also served as Director of Financial Assistance for the Human Services Department and as Finance Manager and Contract Management Coordinator for Monroe County. Currently, Mr. Franklin serves as Monroe County’s Chief Financial Officer, a position he has held since January 2013. He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from SUNY Geneseo and a Master’s in Public Administration from SUNY Brockport.  

Robert Franklin’s career also includes financial management roles at Coordinated Care Services, Inc., AIDS Rochester Inc., and the Hospital Consortium of Greater Rochester. He is a member of several Monroe County boards, and is also an avid supporter of the Seneca Park Zoo Society and the Humane Society at Lollypop Farm.
