RCSD Students Engage in Summer Camp with LaBella Associates
(July 26, 2024) The Rochester City School District thanks LaBella Associates and the Education Success Foundation for hosting RCSD students during a summer camp last week.
Held at LaBella Associates’ State Street offices, the camp offered students an enriching experience in architecture, engineering, and design. Students participated in a range of activities, including engaging educational presentations, hands-on projects, tours of the Rochester Institute of Technology, and visits to significant architectural landmarks. This immersive experience provided a fantastic introduction to the fields of architecture, engineering, and construction.
Looking ahead to the 2024 – 2025 school year, students from Edison Career and Technology High School’s construction and design pathway will benefit from a new partnership with LaBella Associates. The company will collaborate with and mentor selected students, enhancing their classroom learning with real-world insights and experiences. This promising partnership aims to expand internship opportunities for Edison students, further bridging the gap between education and career readiness.
Additionally, the generosity of LaBella Associates continues to impact students in exciting ways. On August 1, students from Edison’s construction and design pathway will attend the Buffalo Bills training camp at St. John Fisher University, thanks to LaBella Associates’ invitation. These students, selected by their Career and Technical Education teachers based on merit and enthusiasm, are looking forward to this special experience, which complements their academic journey and professional aspirations.
