Rochester City School District Board of Education Wellness Policy
-
School Districts that participate in the USDA Child Nutrition Program are required by law to establish a local wellness policy. The purpose of this policy is to set goals for nutrition education, physical activity, and guidelines for food and beverages that are available on school campuses during the school day. The RCSD Food Services Department’s goal is to provide transparency to the public on the school nutrition environment. For more information, please review the Nutrition Regulation of the Board of Education’s Wellness Policy 5405. You can read the full Wellness Policy here.
The results of a recent assessment of the Wellness Policy, conducted by Healthi Kids, can be viewed here.
