Chief Accountability Officer

Ray Giamartino is the Chief Accountability Officer in the Rochester City School District. 

He has previously been the NE Zone School Chief and Chief of School Transformation with the District over the span of close to 10 years.

Giamartino was an associate professor of education at St. John Fisher College and previously was the Director of Student Performance and Junior High School Assistant Principal in Churchville-Chili Central Schools and principal of Parkland-Brookside Elementary School in the Greece Central School District.  He taught elementary grades as well as middle level social studies.

Giamartino received his bachelor’s degree from St. John Fisher College; a master’s in education from Syracuse University; a Certificate of Advanced Study in educational administration at SUNY Brockport and his doctorate in education from the University of Rochester.
