Students from School of the Arts Spreading Holiday Cheer Through Music
(December 4, 2023) This holiday season, School of the Arts (SOTA) students are spreading cheer throughout the City of Rochester with their musical talents.
Kicking off their celebrations on Wednesday, November 29, students performed heartwarming renditions of seasonal tunes during the City’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony at City Hall, joining Mayor Malik Evans and other dignitaries for a magical day.
Continuing their musical journey on December 2, the SOTA Jazz Ensemble delighted attendees at the ROC Holiday Village at Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park at Manhattan Square, filling the air with melodies that echoed the joy of the season.
As part of the 2023 Holiday Concert Series at the County Office Building, SOTA students, alongside their peers from Abraham Lincoln School No. 22, are set to charm audiences with their harmonious performances on Monday, December 18 and Wednesday, December 20. Students from School No. 22 will perform on Tuesday, December 12. All performances begin at noon.
