RCSD Dynamic Leaders: Jody Durick, Principal, The Flower City School No. 54

(November 14, 2022) The Rochester City School District is fortunate to have dynamic leadership in all of its school buildings, and we are shining a bright spot on team members supporting students during the 2022 – 23 school year.

Ms. Jody Durick is the Principal of The Flower City School No. 54.  She oversees students in grades Pre-K – 6 in a school that offers a multitude of enrichment opportunities and supports, restorative practices, and a 5th - 6th grade co-ed basketball team.

“Our Flower City community is a close-knit family,” said Durick.  “We just keep getting stronger and stronger, no matter what difficulties come our way.  I am committed to continuing the legacy of success and leading our school this year.”

An experienced educator with more than 20 years of service to the RCSD, Ms. Durick has been an Assistant Principal at School No. 54, a Special Education Teacher at Kodak Park School No. 41 and Dr. Louis A. Cerulli School No. 34, and a Reading Intervention Teacher and Response to Intervention Team Chair at Mary McLeod Bethune School No. 45.  Additionally, she has served as an Administrative Specialist in Special Education school improvement.
