RCSD Dynamic Leaders: Terrilyn Hammond – Principal, John Williams School No. 5

(September 19, 2022) The Rochester City School District is fortunate to have dynamic leadership in all of its school buildings, and we are shining a bright spot on team members supporting students during the 2022 – 23 school year.

Ms. Terrilyn Hammond is the Principal at John Williams School No. 5.  An RCSD graduate, Ms. Hammond currently oversees students in a school known for its ELL/World Language program and its Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Special Education Continuum.

“It fills me with great pride to serve the community that I love,” said Hammond.  “I am always excited to welcome our students and staff to school, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue providing professional learning for teachers so they can do their best at educating scholars.”

Ms. Hammond is a lifelong educator, with 27 years in the RCSD.  She has served as a Technology Teacher, Assistant Principal, and has been Principal at School No. 5 for the past five years.

Please join us in applauding Ms. Hammond for her fantastic work to help RCSD scholars succeed!
