Two RCSD Students to Perform in The Addams Family
(August 10, 2022) The Rochester City School District is proud to announce that two students are performing in a production of The Addams Family at the Auditorium Theatre this Friday, August 12 and Saturday, August 13. The play is being produced by A Magical Journey Thru Stages, which includes performers in grades 4 – 8 who are part of a two-week summer camp.
Thomas McMillion, an 8th-grade student at Roberto Clemente School No. 8, is playing the lead role of Gomez Addams. Thomas has acted in a variety of performances, making his Geva Theatre debut in December of 2021 when he played the roles of Young Ebenezer and Peter Cratchit in A Christmas Carol. He has also performed in the Rochester Broadway Theatre League’s production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and has been in a number of School No. 8 productions, including The Lion King, 101 Dalmatians, and Descendants 1.
Also performing in The Addams Family is August Woodsbie, a 4th-grade student at Anna Murray-Douglass Academy School No. 12. In his first performance, August is playing the role of Pugsley Addams.
