(November 24, 2021) As colder weather approaches, the District’s Strategic and Community Partnerships Department is securing winter coats in sizes 4 – 16. This coat drive is happening now to benefit all students in the District.
Schools in the District are filling out information and based on how they respond, the Strategic and Community Partnerships Department will have coats delivered to schools with the highest demand. Schools will then distribute those coats to families in their communities. The goal is to have 1,000 coats donated.
Kelli Briggs, Executive Director of Strategic and Community Partnerships said, “We know that as cold weather approaches, we want to be proactive, get coats, and have them ready for our students. We started reaching out through social media and phones have been ringing off the hook with people wanting to donate coats.”
If a student needs a coat, families should reach out to their child’s school. If you can help, please call 262-8329 or e-mail email@example.com.
