The Pride of Rochester Marching Band Makes Season Debut
(September 30, 2021) Congratulations to the Pride of Rochester Marching Band on their first exhibition performance of the season. On Saturday, September 18, they participated in the Hilton High School Crimson Classic, which included solos by Clara Hazen on trombone and Aidan Peers on clarinet. Both students attend School of the Arts in the class of 2025. Thank you to our dedicated bus drivers and parents for their support. The District also appreciates support from our amazing community partners, including the Rochester Education Foundation, who provides assistance with travel costs.
The Pride is gearing up for the Corning Bandtoberfest on Saturday, October 23, at the Corning Memorial Stadium. This year’s show is called RESPECT: Celebrating Amazing Women in Music, and features women in music from the African Diaspora. Their music spans decades and their backgrounds range from Southern lineage to Caribbean roots. You can see the Pride in action as they present music by Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, and Cardi B. Ticket information is available at https://www.cppbands.org/.
The Pride of Rochester Marching Band is a districtwide ensemble comprised of students in grades 4-12.
