RCSD Announces 6th Annual All Women Rock and Men Award Winners
(November 7, 2019) The Rochester City School District is proud to announce that Marilyn Haile and Wayne Kittelberger were honored at the 6th Annual All Women Rock and Men Awards Ceremony on Saturday, November 2, 2019. Marilyn Haile received the Educator of the Year Award and Wayne Kittelberger received the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Marilyn Haile has been instrumental in the development and sustainability of numerous policies, protocols, and practices within the District. With 35 years of education experience as a teacher, administrator, and advisor, she has served as the voice of disenfranchised families. Marilyn is currently an Associate Director of Special Education, where she develops, monitors, mediates, and facilitates special education meetings and programs. In addition, she serves as Sunday school superintendent, bible study curriculum developer, and director for the Board of Christian Education and Deaconess in training.
With more than 12 years of experience in the cleaning business, Wayne Kittelberger has built and maintained strong relationships within the Rochester community. Serving as a community liaison for those battling leukemia, he began hosting a Cancer Awareness Basketball Tournament after losing his son to cancer, which allows his family the opportunity to give back to families who are struggling financially while battling cancer. In addition to his role as the District’s Director of Transportation, he also serves as the owner of W.K. Cleaning Services, Associate Pastor of the Cathedral at the Gathering Place, and has been a foster parent for the past eight years.
Congratulations to Marilyn and Wayne on this well-deserved recognition.
