Eleven Outstanding Seniors Recognized During Michael C. O’Laughlin Recognition Dinner
(May 8, 2025) The Rochester City School District congratulates 11 exceptional seniors honored during the 2025 Michael C. O’Laughlin Recognition Dinner, held Wednesday, May 7, at Monroe 2-Orleans BOCES in Spencerport.
Students are selected for this honor based on their academic achievements, leadership, and service. The following RCSD students were celebrated at the event:
- Nuria Mohamud, All City High
- Jessica Conrow, East High School
- Angela Alexander, Edison Career and Technology High School
- Jayquan Weems, James Monroe High School
- Hazel Roberts, Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High School Commencement Academy
- Yeremiah Oyola, Padilla High School at the Franklin Campus
- John Corona, Rochester Early College International High School
- Neema Wilondja, Rochester International Academy
- Jacob LaDolce, School of the Arts
- Arianna Shapiro-Strickland, School Without Walls Commencement Academy
- Mecca Willis, World of Inquiry School No. 58
The event honors the legacy of Dr. Michael C. O’Laughlin, who dedicated his 37-year career to students and public education. He began as a teacher and department chair in the Brockport Central School District, then served as High School Principal, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction, and Superintendent of Schools in the Kendall School District. In 2007, he became District Superintendent of Monroe 2–Orleans BOCES. Following his passing in May 2009, the Monroe County Council of School Superintendents renamed the annual recognition dinner in his honor in 2012.
