OACES Hosts Annual Community Breakfast
(January 24, 2025) The Office of Adult and Career Education Services (OACES) hosted its annual community outreach breakfast on Friday, January 24, 2025, welcoming members of the Rochester community to its Hart Street facility. This event provided a unique opportunity for OACES to showcase its programs and highlight the meaningful impact they have on the lives of individuals throughout the Rochester area.
Participants at the breakfast were treated to a firsthand experience of OACES, including a tour of the facility and a program overview. The occasion also encouraged attendees to offer suggestions for enhancing community involvement and collaboration.
“Education changes people’s lives, and when you are an adult, enabling someone to get a good paying job changes their whole trajectory in life, their families, and the community at large,” said Mark Davis, Associate Director at OACES.
OACES offers adults in Rochester a comprehensive range of career-related services that focus on the transition to employment, advanced training, and post-secondary education. Available throughout the year, OACES programs and classes provide continuing education and career training. Students may finish their high school education, complete various workforce training programs, take English as a Second Language (ESL) classes, and even become U.S. citizens.
