(November 26, 2024) The Rochester City School District is excited to announce that two talented students are cast members in this year's production of A Christmas Carol at Geva Theatre, a cherished holiday tradition in Rochester since 1985.

Willow Sky Fisher is a 5th-grade student at Montessori Academy School No. 53, and she is playing the role of Young Ebenezer.  She is thrilled to be performing in this iconic holiday play. Willow, who has been attending A Christmas Carol since she was four, is eager to step onto the stage this year.  Willow has always loved being on stage, and her previous roles have included Peach in Finding Nemo Jr. and Les in Newsies. She is part of the RCSD’s ROC City Players program, comprised of students in grades 4 through 12.

Frederick Hawkins, an 11-year-old 7th-grade Drama major at School of the Arts, is also making his mark in A Christmas Carol. Frederick, playing the roles of Arthur and Peter, discovered his love for acting after watching his favorite musical, Hamilton, and quickly got involved with ROC City Players in 2023. Since joining the group, Frederick has performed in four musicals.

A Christmas Carol runs now until December 29, 2024, and promises to be a memorable experience for all who attend. The production continues to be a beloved part of Rochester's holiday season, and the inclusion of these talented young performers adds an exciting new chapter to this long-standing tradition.  Please join us in congratulating them.
