Honoring Heroes: Early College Cadets Pay Tribute to Gold Star Families

(October 1, 2024) This past Sunday, cadets from the Junior ROTC program at Rochester Early College International High School participated in a meaningful ceremony in Pittsford, honoring the sacrifices of military personnel who gave their lives in service to our country.

The Blue Star Mothers of America organized the event as a poignant tribute to Gold Star families, recognizing their enduring strength and sacrifice.

The school’s color guard has a proud tradition of presenting the nation’s colors at various Memorial Day and Veterans Day ceremonies, as well as marching in parades like the Lilac Festival. The RCSD is proud of these cadets for their participation and ongoing efforts to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
