Student-Athletes Compete in Track and Field State Qualifiers and Advance to State Championship

(June 3, 2024) The Rochester City School District congratulates the student-athletes who competed in the Track and Field NY State qualifiers in Newark, New York, on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

Kahliyah Borges, Julia Carver, Joshua Chester, Maeve Delehanty, Anthony Diaz, Luis Falu, Tyrone Fisher Jr., ShyKira Glover, Owen Hatungimana, Ahonesty Henderson, Sheymar Jones, Deandre Leonard, Alyosha Lynd, Anais Martinez, Michael Ortiz, Jaden Simmons, Wayne Spencer, Nicolas Trope, and Perrion Wiliams all competed in either individual events or relays at Newark High School.

The following student-athletes have advanced to the New York State Track and Field Championship on Saturday, June 8, at Cicero-North Syracuse High School in Cicero, New York.

Boys:
Joshua Chester – 4 x 100m relay
Anthony Diaz – 4 x 100m relay
Luis Falu – 100m
Tyrone Fisher Jr. – 4 x 100m relay
Owen Hatungimana – 4 x 100m relay
Sheymar Jones – 4 x 100m relay

Michael Ortiz – 400m hurdles
Jaden Simmons – Long Jump
Nicolas Troupe – 100m, 4 x 100m relay
Perrion Williams – 100m, 200m, 4 x 100m relay

Girls:
