    The Community Place of Greater Rochester’s Community Summer Learning Center (CSLC) provides a safe structured six-week summer program for kindergarteners to 8th graders; that includes interactive enrichment activities: academic, STEM, arts, culture, and physical activities, healthy snacks, parent engagement, peer engagement through social emotional learning, and exciting field trips.

    As outlined in United Way’s Blueprint for Change, the Community Summer Learning Center will focus providing activities to combat summer learning loss and on youth achieving a high average daily attendance; participating 150 hours of structured, safe and interactive summer camp programming.

Encompass 3D at Norman Howard

    Grades PreK-8

    The 3D summer academic enrichment program uniquely and intentionally combines the following elements for youth grades pre-k-8th: inquiry-based learning, targeted tutoring, social-emotional learning opportunities, and health and wellness/enrichment components. Together youth and teachers discover, discuss, and investigate topics based on a curriculum aligned with New York State Common Core Learning Standards and social-emotional best practices/strategies in active and collaborative learning environments.

    Registration:
    Students in foster care are enrolled through their CPS case manager or through other support service providers.

Rochester Young Scholars Academy at Geneseo/ Superhero Training Academy

  • Location: SUNY Geneseo
    Mon-Fri, July 15–July 26
    Overnight
    Grades 5–11

    Rochester Young Scholars Academy at Geneseo (RYSAG) is a summer STEM camp for adolescence students that provide rising 5-11th-grade participants with an intensive residential program. This is our 12th year in offering this NYS certified camp. The theme for summer 2019 is Superhero Training Academy, students will take courses during the day and participate in recreational activities in the evening. RYSAG is a two-week overnight summer camp. Students go home for the weekend between the two weeks, but during the week they stay on the SUNY Geneseo campus.

Seneca Waterways Boy Scouts - Summer Camping

  • Location: Locations will vary, transportation from various school sites to camps will be offered
    Mon-Sun, June 24-August 3
    Grades K-12

    Boy Scouts of America are providing various opportunities for Young Men and Young Ladies grades K-12 to attend 3-day (K-5), or 6-day (6-12) camping opportunities during the months of July and August.

YMCA Power Scholars Academy

    The YMCA of Greater Rochester Power Scholars Academy is a full day five-week summer program designed to provide a FUN, ENGAGING, YOUTH Focused experience that increases reading, math, and social skills for all participating youth. This year’s Power Scholars Academy theme is “Space Camp”, with each day dedicated to exploring the planets, stars, and the universe through innovative, creative and awesomely fun learning and enrichment activities, fieldtrips, and special events.
