Become a Volunteer in the Rochester Schools today.
The Office of Community Partnerships assists in the acceleration of student achievement by cultivating and maintaining supportive partnerships between schools and the Rochester community. We know our community has much to offer students through assisting with time and resources as volunteers and mentors. We are happy to have you as a partner and look forward to connecting you with one of our schools today!
Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer in the Rochester City School District. Our volunteers provide invaluable resources in support of our students and staff in the District.
There are 4 steps to becoming a volunteer:
- Complete this Volunteer Application (electronically or by mail)
- Background and Reference Check
- Attend a mandatory 1-hour Volunteer Orientation Session
- Assignment to a school/program (based on volunteer skill set and individual school needs)
What sort of volunteer needs are there?
Needs vary from school to school but most students are in need of additional attention or support with their education. An adult can make an incredible difference in the life of a student or a whole school community.
How do I get started?
(This process takes about 10 minutes to complete)
