A Cold Day on the Roof to Support Reading!
Acting Principal Jason Wertz challenged students at School No. 45 to read at least 10 books from November 4 to December 16. Because the students reached this goal, our Principal spent the school day on the roof!Shortly after students arrived to school on a cold December Wednesday, the Rochester Fire Department lifted Principal Wertz onto the roof. Students, staff, and parents were present to cheer him on and celebrate their achievements in reading. NYS Senator Joe Robach and Mayor Lovely Warren stopped by to show their support as well. Books were available for adults to come into the school and read to the students throughout the day.
Great job Principal Wertz and School No. 45 students!
