SOCIAL MEDIA CONCERNS

We recommend that you closely monitor your child’s social media accounts such as Snapchat, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. Situations that take place off school grounds or outside of school hours due to social media concerns should be referred to the Office of Parent Engagement at 585-324-9999 or by email at parentcenter@RCSDK12.org. However, if you are concerned that your child is being bullied at school, it is recommended that you contact your child’s administrator or counselor to discuss the concern. As students have increasing access to the web, both in school and at home, the Rochester City School District is encouraging all students to be good digital citizens. Please talk to your students and school community about online safety, and join us as we work together to ensure our students are safe online!
