    Black + White is a theatrical dance performance that explores the concept of opposition through movement, music, and imagery. A single black and white photograph is used to inspire each of the acts in the show. Conceptualized and choreographed by world-renowned tango artist Fernanda Ghi. Black + White features the music of Astor Piazzolla, and photographs by Andres Mario de Varona, this unique fusion of art forms is a must-experience.

    Two original collaborations of dance, music and spoken word make their premiere in Time to Change.  “Nanosecond,” by choreographer Anne Harris Wilcox and composer Matthew Curlee, investigates the destructive and creative nature of change and its wide-ranging fallout from the immediate to the unknown. “My Life in Sweaters,” a memoir in dance and storytelling by Mariah Steele with original music by Yoshiko Arahata, knits together humor, passion, serendipity, and numerous outfits to explore how clothing mediates our memories and experiences of change.

    Vocal Point and The Yellow Jackets Fringe Show

    The University of Rochester’s Vocal Point and The YellowJackets will be performing an hour of a cappella covers from today’s popular artists. Vocal Point is the University’s only all-female a cappella group, and is currently celebrating their 50th Anniversary. A tale of magic, love, and the undead. Colma! was written by Mark Jabaut, directed by Marcy Gamzon, and stars favorite local actors.

    The Movement is a musical retelling of the Children’s Crusade of 1963, an historic civil rights event in which thousands of young children and teenagers marched against segregation in Birmingham, Alabama.
