A Night Out

Several of our English Language Learner (ELL) scholars joined Mrs. Alva, Ms. Green and me for the International Film Festival at the George Eastman House. Before the screenings we went to dinner at Veneto"s on East Ave. The ELL scholars explained that they had never been to a restaurant before and were in awe of the simple decor that surrounded them. While they were a bit timid about exploring the various foods on the menu they enjoyed the wood fired pizza. Some of them ate the plain cheese while others had some pepperoni slices.

We made it to the Film Festival on time but due to some technical difficulties and time constraints we were only able to screen two movies, Le Negociant and Butterflies of the Trip City. We all enjoyed our "night out" to dinner and a movie!
