Student -to- Student Program

We have been fortunate to have Josephine Perini the board president and director of the Rochester International Council head the Student -to- Student Program at RECIHS. Ms. Perini brought students from Ghana, Colombia and China who are studying at the University of Rochester for monthly visits with our scholars. The students taught our scholars about their native countries and answered many questions our scholars had regarding music, sports, government, holidays, education and family life. Our scholars created videos of their daily school life and environment that they posted on You Tube for our Colombian friends to view. Some of our scholars were able to talk over the speaker phone in class to friends in Ghana and we hope to Skype in April! We have learned a lot through the program and our hope is to continue to correspond with our new friends once the program comes to an end for there is still much more to learn and many experiences to be had!
