Welcome to the 2015-16 school year! My name is Carolina (Nina) Machuca-Dall and I am honored to be your child’s Algebra 1 teacher. This is my 17^th year of teaching in the RCSD but my first year at East High School. I previously taught math in grades 9 – 12 at Edison Tech for over 12 years and then taught seventh and eighth grade math at Franklin for about 3 years. During the 2013-2015 school years, I was an Instructional Math Coach for the district. However, my heart kept telling me to go back to the classroom so here I am at the new East!

I have two daughters ages 9 and 14 who keep me very busy. They love to play soccer and I love to watch them. Besides spending time with my family, my passion is also running. I do this whenever I can find the time. I love participating in all types of races from 5K’s to the marathon. My favorite distance is the half marathon though.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child in reaching his or her full potential. We will have many wonderful experiences and opportunities to learn and grow this year.
