Here at RECIHS we have several scholars who have immigrated from Nepal. They are learning all about US history, customs, food and traditions. I thought that I would give our Nepali scholars a chance to share apart of their culture with me and my family. Suk, Dil Maya and Sanju joined Mrs. Alva and her children along with my children to show us how to cook Nepali style. My job was to buy ingredients such as tomoatoes, potates, onions, chicken and basmati rice. Mrs. Alva and our Nepali scholars brought some wonderful spices, peppers, turnips, fresh ginger, garlic and many other interesting but tastey items that they purchased at the India House. My house quickly began to fill with the authentic aroma of Nepali food. Everything was delicioius and enjoyed by all!
