    Kerry Meehan-Richardson serves as Vice Principal of Grades 10-12 for scholars with last names (Gi-N). She has lived in the Rochester area for over 20 years. Her extended family has roots in the Albany area. 

    She has been part of the Rochester City School District since 1999, beginning her career as an elementary teacher at World of Inquiry School #58. Then, she spent three years working nationally, helping to transform urban schools into vibrant learning environments with student-centered, rigorous academic programs and cultures that build empathetic young leaders, critical thinkers, and agents of positive change.  Ten years ago, she returned to the district to contribute to East High School’s transformation. Since then, she has worked in various leadership roles, helping to reshape school culture, academic programming, and curriculum development.

    Kerry holds two bachelors degrees in Elementary and Special Education from SUNY Geneseo and a Master's degree as a Literacy Specialist from Nazareth College. She completed her certification for School Building and District Level Leadership through the University of Rochester.
