COURSE DESCRIPTION

Welcome to Living Environment ! My name is Ms. Parchment and I am excited to have the opportunity to work with your scholar this school year. This regent credit bearing course is designed to satisfy the NYS life science requirement. Scholars will be required to take a regents exam at the end of the course. Topics include; genetics, ecology, evolution, cells, biodiversity, and human impact. My goal, with your support is to prepare your scholar to perform to the best of their ability on the final exam.

Background Information:
I have a master degree in Adolescent Education from St. John Fisher and I have been teaching for 13 years. I am qualified to teach Biology 7-12th. I have worked for Dr. Freddie Thomas High School and Wilson Foundation Academy throughout those 12 years, and now embarking on my 3rd year with RBHS. I am currently one of the buildings RTA representatives, a member of school-based plaaning team, yearbook advisor, RCSD's League Chairperson for Cheerleading, Chair of the Black History Month committee, coach of the Edison's varsity cheerleading team, and junior & senior class advisor. Adding to this list of activities, I wish to become the Adventure & Science Club advisor.

Available Hours:

I am available for after school assistance Monday, Tuesday and Thursdays between the hours of 3-4pm, and Wednesday 3-4:30pm. Parents can make an appointment via email and/or phone call
