Parental Right to Decline Examination Waivers or Confer Diploma
As you are aware, due to the COVID 19 pandemic and subsequent school closures, the Governor has waived the Regent Exam requirements for students who were planning to take exams during the 2019-20 school year through January 2022. Students who received Exam Exemptions on their transcripts are eligible to graduate with these waivers instead of earning standard exam scores.
However, if a student received an Exam Exemption on their transcript a Parental Right to Decline Examination Waivers or Confer Diploma form must be signed and returned to the student's Associate Director. Per New York State, schools may not confer a diploma until a parent or person in parental relation confirms in writing, that their student with a disability may receive a diploma utilizing Exam Exemptions.
Please utilize the Parental Right to Decline Examination Waivers or Confer Diploma forms below for the 2024-2025 school year.
