Assistant Principal / Overview

Katelyn Cegla is the Assistant Principal of Austin Steward Elementary School No. 46. She began her career in Monroe #1 BOCES in 2011 as a paraprofessional while working towards her Master's in General Education/Special Education at St. John Fisher. She began teaching special education at M1B in 2015, grades 4-6 and later grades K-3. In 2022, she took a position in the Rochester City School District as a CSE chair, then in the spring of 2023 accepted the position as AP at School 46.

In addition to her work with the district, she coached high school soccer for ten years previously. Ms. Cegla currently manages and plays on a women's team in the Rochester District Soccer League. She loves reading and is often at your local libraries. (Go get your free library card today!)
