    Introduction to Digital Media Arts & Communications
    DMAC
     Duration: Four 10-week 2-period classes.  Credit 2.0
    Students will rotate through DMAC's four programs:
    Advertising Design, TV and Video Production, Music & Audio Production, and Interactive Media Design.
    Prerequisite: CTE foundations, Grade level 10
     
    Course Description:               

    This course is designed to introduce students to the design elements, principles, and procedures along with computer software and hardware such as Macintosh computer, peripheral devices, and Adobe Creative Suite. This course is divided into four units of study: Computer literacy, Adobe Photoshop for digital manipulation, Adobe Illustrator for vector-based digital illustration, and basic design theory. Students will work using the design procedures while acquiring skills through learning activities with a culminating final project. This class will introduce basic design knowledge needed for Advertising Design l and build a foundation for acquiring the CTE Endorcememt on the student's diploma for Advertising Design.
