Presentation of the Vincent Fazio Memorial Fund

The purpose of the Vincent N. Fazio Fund is to honor the memory of the beloved math teacher Vincent N. Fazio. Mr. Fazio was a US Army Veteran who proudly served his country during WWII at the Battle of The Bulge and taught at Edison for thirty nine years. This Fund will provide an exceptional Edison senior with support in their educational and /or career development.

Vincent Fazio was an exceptional teacher who expected excellence and inspired his students to reach high levels of academic achievement. His also proudly served his country with honor and distinction.

The selected student should demonstrate these qualities. The student should display excellence and high achievement in their field of study with an emphasis on Mathematics. He or she should have willingly served the school and community and displayed good citizenship throughout their high school career.

In cooperation with the Rochester Educational Foundation, the staff at the Edison Career and Technology High School and the Vincent Fazio Family, the Class of 1965 Homeroom 12-3 is proud to announce that the first recipient of this award has been selected.
