Welcome Scholars and Families
Dear Pan-African & Latino Studies Parents/ & Women Studies Guardians, and Students,
On behalf of Rochester Early College International High School, I welcome you to the 2024-25 school year! We look forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children achieve their highest potential. We recognize that to be successful in school, our children need support from both the home and school. A strong partnership will make a great difference to your child’s education. As partners, we share the responsibility for your child’s success. I ask that you guide and support your child’s learning by ensuring that he/she:
-
1) Attends school daily and arrives on time, ready for the day’s learning experience
-
2) Completes all assignments given by teachers
-
3) Share school experiences with you so that you are aware of his/her school life
-
4) Informs you if he/she needs additional support in any area or subject
My job is to help close the educational gap many of our students face. I have been working with the Rochester City School for over seventeen years. Over the last twenty years, I have developed into a teacher that provides culturally relevant student-centered lessons. My focus is on student success in and out of the classroom.
I believe that there is a need for a higher level of student engagement. To accomplish this, I need your help. Your child's cell phone will be locked away until the end of the school day. They must be on time and be prepared for class. Please log in to your child's Google Classroom to view their progress.
