• Course Requirements & Grading

Career and technical education courses are project-oriented, incorporating projects relative to current theoretical lessons.  All students are required to have a composition notebook for daily note-taking lessons.  Theory will be given at the beginning of each class, every day; therefore, it is imperative students come to class on time and are prepared.  Theory will be followed by related lab work.  Communication, writing and computer skills well be challenged continually through news writing exercises, research papers, and term papers.  Each marking period (there are 6) are determined as follows:

                                                                                    25%  Participation/class work/quizzes
                                                                                    25%  Tests & research/term papers
                                                                                    50%  Projects

*In addition, midterm and final exam grades are averaged in during the 3rd and 6th marking periods
