Message from the Principal

  •    Principal’s Message:

        Hello Montessori Families!

        I am Dr. Djinga St. Louis, Principal of Montessori Academy School #53. I am pleased to serve as building leader, community partner, parent and caregiver advocate.    Montessori Academy has been a public educational haven for the Rochester City School District for over 40 years with a unique focus on the facilitation of guiding students to work independently, think critically, and problem-solve harmoniously. The teachers and staff work in concert to ensure that students are safe to express curiosity while being educated using high-quality instruction and culturally responsive pedagogy. I am very happy and humbled to lead this school and support growing roots deeply in the 19th Ward Community.

     

  •    WELCOME, MONTESSORI STUDENTS AND FAMILIES!

    School begins on September 4th.

    This Thursday is the Montessori Back to School Bash, beginning at 5pm (see flyer below.) Families with students in all grades are encouraged to come out. There will be an informational session, free haircuts, book bags (while they last), a uniform swap, and refreshments.

    Please be reminded that uniforms are required at Montessori Academy. Along with the usual black and navy bottoms, Khaki is also acceptable. Closed-toed shoes are also required and NO CROCKS.

    Please call the school for more information during the summer hours of 8:30 am – 2pm. If no one answers, please leave a message, and your call will be returned. Or you may email me, and I will respond. Be well!
