What is RECIHS?

RECIHS is made up of small learning communities that will offer summer credit recovery and credit earning opportunities.

We provide a
year-round school program based  on rigor, relationships and partnerships.

We are an
International Studies School. We recognize values and celebrate diversity that has a globally competent and caring student focus
.
We target first generation college students and  offer students the opportunity to earn 20+ college credits from SJFC and MCC.

Our school requires service learning

Students will participate in Model United Nations programs.

All classes incorporate interdisciplinary research projects that address real issues in the community and broader global community as a component of student's education.

We offer
dual language opportunities, including Mandarin Chinese.

We utilize the most
up-to-date technology available in the classroom such as Smart Boards and Netbooks.

  • NACAC College Fair

    Fair

Every year, the National Association of College Admission Counseling (NACAC) comes to Rochester to present their National College Fair.  It is a national college fair because hundreds of colleges come to the Riverside Convention Center to provide information to scholars that they can use to make their post high school plans.  At the fair, there are colleges from as far away as Alaska and Europe.  Further, students are able to sign up to receive information on College Planning and Financial Aid opportunities.Students have shared their address information with colleges.  Colleges will be sending information to students.  In the Fall, students will be applying to colleges for admission and to scholarship administrators for college financial aid after graduation.  The students have benefitted by attending this College Fair because they know now that there are many opportunities for post- graduation planning.
